Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire is in the South/West of Wales. It is a diverse area with stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and clean seas. Pembrokeshire has the best
beaches in the U.K. with more seaside awards than any other county. Holiday Which? chose Tenby's South beach as one of its top beaches in 2001. The year before,
they picked Tenby's North beach. Manorbier, Barafundle, Marloes, Newgale, Whitesand and Newport. Freshwater West, Newgale and Whitesands are all considered to
be excellent beaches for surfing.
For visitors, Pembrokeshire is more than just a great place to surf; it is rich in history, culture and warm Welsh welcomes. An intriguing place to
visit is Caldey Island. It is one of Britain's holy islands. The Cistercian monks of Caldey continue a tradition which began there in Celtic times.
More than a thousand years of prayer and quiet living have made this remote and beautiful island a haven of tranquility and peace. The monks and islanders
of Caldey are pleased to welcome day-visitors to share the delights of their island home throughout the summer season. You may never want to find the
rat-race again.
